Ranger's Apprentice - Book 4: The Battle for Skandia

Far from home after escaping slavery in Skandia, Will and Evanlyn's plans to return are spoiled when Evanlyn is taken captive. Will employs his Ranger training to locate his friend, but soon finds himself fatally outnumbered - until Halt and Horace make a daring, last-minute rescue. But their reunion is cut short by the discovery that Skandia's borders have been breached by the Temujai army - and Araluen is next in their sights. Only an unlikely union can save the two kingdoms, but can it hold long enough to vanquish a ruthless new enemy?

Language
Damn is used 11-12 times, hell is used 5 times. "the devil" and "the gods" are used 3 times. "My God," is used twice. Halt becomes fond of 'Gorlog' a Skandian god, saying that this "wonderful being" has "horns, legs, feet, arms, tails, and a beard, and can be envoked by any of these properties."

Sexual Content
It is mentioned that a man has three wives, but only brings his concubines on the war-path.
Violence
There is some shooting, and at the end, there is a battle. Flanagan pulls off a realistic battle scene, but leaves out detailed descriptions of gore and blood.

Great book, PG for violence and language. READ IT!
A note: I have on my paper "Halt..." which was obviously supposed to mean something. It isn't ringing a bell now. If I remember what it means, I'll repost.
Notice: To those of you going to load up: Book Seven, Erak's Ransom should be read after Book Four, The Battle for Skandia
